I heard about Google Summer Of Code [0] last year, from a CAT [1] member – i don’t really remember who – and i didn’t really give much of attention to it, mainly because i wasn’t experienced enough in anything, so joining such a thing was like a dream.

Things have changed very fast since that date, i self-learned a lot of topics in computer science [ Computation theory, Discrete Mathematics, Algorithms, Data Structures, Compilers , Operating Systems , and etc. ] , and i became kind of fluent in some languages specially [ Java and C ], that’s why i decided to apply for GSoC this year.

However , at some point i literally dropped the whole idea because i thought that i’ll be in the middle of the college semester and i won’t have any time to work on the project.

Well , i changed my mind again and did send a proposal [2] maybe 2 days before the deadline and al hamdo lellah i was accepted :-)

Now, i’m working on GNU/Hurd as a GSoC student [3].
